Job Objective:

 

To develop and maintaining territory sales strategies to meet organizational objectives, and responsible for continued growth in the Central Region territory for Bluffton Motor Works.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the growth and development of the Central Region for Bluffton Motor Works.
  • Responsible for territorial profitability
  • Demonstrates technical skills and product knowledge of all Bluffton Motor products to include all 36, 48, and 56 frame (AC/DC) motors, gear motors including all Hydro Duty, Hydro Wash categories
  • Work closely with inside sales support functions including marketing and engineering in the development of new business and motor designs.
  • Must utilize correct forms and processes established by your National Sales Manager.
  • Must be detail orientated and have strong organizational skills.
  • Identify new market opportunities for current and future products by soliciting customer input and direction.
  • Maintain expense accounts to include well planned travel schedules and efficient use of company resources.
  • Attend all sales meetings and training development meetings.
  • This position will be expected to have overnight travel and potential travel into other territories when directed by the National Sales Manager.
  • Responsible for all annual forecasting of territory and in conjunction with the National Sales Manager, develop a territorial sales plan to achieve those goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities for current and future products by soliciting customer input and direction.
  • Drive product innovation across departmental teams by attaining market intelligence from customers, suppliers and competitors.
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships that may enhance Bluffton’s motor go to market strategy.

Requirements:

  • BA degree with minimum 4 years of sales experience in industrial sales within the last 10 years. Work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel and work with professional sales associates.

Preferred Experience:

  • Electric motor experience within the last 10 years
  • Power Transmission experience within the last 10 years

The Plant Manager leads the departments of Production and Manufacturing Engineering, drives for year over year performance improvements and supports BLMW Mission and Values.

 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

-Direct and manage plant operations for production

-Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers and/or supervisors to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner

-Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures and manpower

-Work with Human Resources to ensure that all manpower needs are met

-Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production

-Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives

-Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel

-Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisors

-Ensure that all safety procedures are followed on the plant floor

-Act as a change agent and support teams in all continuous improvement activities

 Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or 10 years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

-Exposure with managing a union environment

-Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements

-Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required, such as Six Sigma: Statistics and data analysis; Lean Manufacturing; and ISO-90001 and Quality Systems.

Primary Function:

As a member of the technical staff, the electrical engineer is responsible for the design of new electric motors based of customer specifications, technical support of mature products currently in production, utilizing modern engineering systems and technologies, and also analyzing and improving old ones.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • -Develop, design and test new electric motors to meet customer specifications
  • -Provide customer support for existing products
  • -Evaluate existing motor designs to improve the manufacturability of the motor
  • -Work with other Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to improve energy efficiency of motors
  • -Lead projects to improve engineering tools and processes used to design electric
